Task sixteen: Camera: Line

Task sixteen: Camera: Line

With this two picture's I've taken a diagonal shot and a horizontal shot, following the lines and edges.

also the second picture has much more thicker horizontal lines then the above picture.

Lines can provide many elements to a photo movement, pattern, energy, etc. I did not use this technique in photograph. A powerful method of improving the composition of your photos is the use of lines.

Task eighteen: camera: texture

Task Eighteen: Camera: Texture

Texture can often take the form of curves. These curves can be very effectively utilized for composition purposes.

In this picture you're able to distinguish between the two different types of textures, one of a fabric cloth and the other a wooden table.

In this picture you're able to distinguish between the material's, velvet and a cotton like texture form.

Task twelve: camera: composition

Task Twelve: Camera: Composition

Your task is to take a photograph that uses the rule of thirds.

I've taking a picture of Vao using the rule of thirds.
It was pretty difficult but with a few attempts I managed to get one picture. I used some of the Composition Tips, an example was
Simplifying the scene (The Background) and avoiding the Middle (The Object).

Task fourteen: Camera: edge of the frame and cropping

Camera: edge of the frame and cropping

Think about what is on the edge of your frame, what is touching the frame? What is cropped? And where?

Image of a bee being cropped example.

    Before                                       After

The edge of the frame is an image of a flower.
The Bee is the object being cropped. The background looks like a garden.

Task Ninteen: Camera: Pattern

Task Nineteen: Camera: Pattern

Two techniques come into practice while working with patterns; you can emphasise the pattern, or you can break it:

With this picture I decided to emphasise the the vertical pattern and fill the frame with it, Also not to break the pattern

With this second picture I placed a chair on the bottom right to upset and break the colorful cloth pattern.

Task twenty: Colour

Task twenty: Colour

Complementary Colours

Here's a picture I took of a bird on top my house.
The photo uses complementary colours with a blue background and a orange feathered bird.

Here's a pamphlet from NASA, ariel shot of Vatnajokull Glacier, Iceland
The photo uses contrasting colours.

    Task Seven: shutter and aperture

    Task Seven: Shutter and Aperture

Take two pictures of the one subject: one with a fast shutter, one with a slow shutter.

Here's a picture of a cone being tossed into the air with fast shutter.

You can see the difference between the other picture with the slow shutter.
A fast shutter will freeze a moving object and a slow shutter blurs a moving object.

Take two pictures of the one subject: one with a high aperture and one with a low aperture.

Here's a picture I took of a bird using a higher a aperture and another with a cat using a low aperture. The larger the aperture the more shallow the depth of field.

The smaller your aperture the deeper the DOF (depth of field) the larger the more shallow your DOF.

    Task Six: Learning Values

    Task Six: Learning Values

Think about Learning Values, what are they?
(engagement, time management,  commitment, attitude, understanding)
Create your own tabloid title with the hand-out provided, use this to remind yourself what is needed to succeed with this Learning Outcome

Some learning values I've understood are time management, managing my time to finish the given tasks, Also attendance is very important to stay up to date with the course. Something I can relate to.

I related towards my tabloid were understanding, attitude and Commitment.

    Task Eight: Descriptive Letter

Task Eight: Descriptive Letter On Souncloud

The community I belong to is an online community, where music producers from all levels, amateur to professional share their music and fans and listeners can enjoy and experience the music directly from the artist, without influence or interference from the music industry itself.

Soundcloud is an online audio distribution platform based in Berlin, Germany and the online community which I belong to. On Soundcloud you meet so many different kinds of people from all over the world, different backgrounds, ages, occupations etc. With a worldwide audience Soundcloud is able to bring the experience of music to another level.
SoundCloud is the world’s leading social sound platform where anyone can create sounds and share them, recording and uploading sounds to SoundCloud.

The first time I stumbled across Soundcloud was when my brother and I had visited a friends home studio, I remember him playing us his music and being so inspired to start learning more about music in detail. For example hearing the pitch, tempo, vocals, bass and drums, I was learning a new perspective of music.

    Task Nine: Vantage and Depth

        Task Nine: Vantage and Depth

(ISO, WB, Shutter, aperture, depth-of-field, blur)
Here are a couple of new ones:

Vantage: the relationship between the camera and the subject

Here's a couple of shots of my AKAI MPK Mini which is used to make music

Depth: the relationship between the elements in the frame.
